2019 Southern School on Chemistry & Engineering (SSCEC)

About the Conference:

The Southern School on Chemistry and Engineering Conference (SSCEC) is a result of the NSF EPSCoR R-II Consortium’s collaboration aimed to find innovative solutions for sustainability of safe water and food and clean energy. It promotes the synergy among the Consortium partners needed to find a catalyst for the change in the area.

The SSCEC of 2019 follows the traditions of The Southern School on Computational Chemistry and Materials Science (SSCC&MS) Conference that has been held annually at the Jackson State University (JSU), Jackson, MS. This year,  SSCEC 2019 will be held on the campus of the University of Delaware. The theme of this Conference will focus on the sustainability in water/energy/food (WEF) nexus, however, general chemistry and engineering presentations  are also invited. Innovation in WEF nexus has been the focus of a consortium funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) in 2016, which resulted in development of a collaborative project of the JSU, UM, the University of Wyoming (UW), and the University of Delaware (UD).
